Drake AKA Mr.Wrong

Theres becomes a point in any elite artist's career in which other artists who have hit the peak, and are a sinking ship in denial, will request them to feature on their new song. This is done pure and simply because they know people will go to the effort to listen just because of the big name feature. In recent times it has been David Guetta, every old/dead artist e.g. Kelly Rowland, Flo Rida, Usher etc. Who have all been incredible in their moment but just not anymore. They have gone to him to produce a song that will get their name being chucked about again. Before that was and is lil Wayne. I think this may just be the start of Drakes time. He's released two massive albums and probably has the biggest buzz around.
Mary J. Blige is trying to get back in the industry and what better way than to link up with the biggest name in it? Drizzy! Take a listen...

In my eyes, the song consists of one sick verse from a rapper, then followed by a poor song, similar to 'Motivation' by Kelly Rowland Ft. lil Wayne...

In my eyes, some artist have got to accept their time, I've got nothing against fighting for something but some of these are just poor poor attempts in my eyes.

Jay-Z Paints The Sky Blue

After the very recent birth of Jay-Z's and Beyonce's first child, a little girl named Ivy Blue. Jay-Z has already released a song dedicated to the little one, named 'Glory'. Which if you haven't heard yet, listen now...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGFAFvV4dpI
You really get the feeling that after the birth of his first child, he already has taken a step back and seen the bigger picture. From the song, Jay talks about their previous miscarriage and his lack of an relationship with his own father. It's a deep lyrical song with a real mellow vibe. Nothing negative to it. I would say this song is an iconic moment in hip hop history at all, but I would say it's an iconic moment for Jay-Z history, a song where even in 5, 10 or 20 years time he will look back at. A song in which other fathers may be able to relate too, and thats what music is all about right?

The King TK Goes Hard

Sometimes when days get long, when dreams seem lost, when thoughts are irrelevant. Something comes along which just flips it all, for me it is music. Which is why I am writing this article. It is why I created this blog. It is why I stay up till early hours every night writing my own music with a pen and a pad. It is why I am up before sun rise every morning and put in the work to give back to music what it has given to me.
After a long day I couldn't wait to get into bed and just go sleep but then I found this...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XLV4iFu5d6c&feature=player_embedded#!
The first verse hit me hard. Just like when i heard Mic Righteous for the first time. Just like when I listened to Paris Morton Music by Drake for the first time. Just like when i listened to Mr.Carter by lil Wayne for the first time. This moment was another one of those 'Shit, that was his break'.
As you all know, real music is what I cherish, and what you hear in the first 3 minutes is just that. As I say, Real Recognise Real.  So recognise and please listen to it and take in the lyrics. Empathise. Discover another perspective. Be inspired.

Proud to right about this one.

Skepta Doesn't Do It Again

Firstly I want to point out that I am a Big fan of Skepta, I've got a vast collection of his music and know every lyrics to every one, and that's the truth. Personally I love him for his Grimier music, undeniably he is one of the key players in what made the Grime Scene what it is today. Possibly my favourite track of his, which also includes one of my favourite verses of time has to be B.O.S.S which if you haven't heard then take a couple minutes to listen now...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2DrHE2HVUk
Jheeze! He goes in!!! Try and tell me different!?
But to what I'm saying, Skeppy released a new track called 'Punch His Face' which to me is dead. I mean Skepta has a sick flow, but in this he just sounds like some other weak MC. For me the track never really drops properly, the over use of Auto Tune just kills the vibe and the base isn't even strong enough to make it fall into the category of a house or garage track, it's just nothing. Take a listen..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CzdwxP5TpXQ&feature
Admittedly the guy is in a position now to do pritty much what ever he likes in terms of music and I wouldn't doubt for a second that he is going to release something soon which will pull me right back!

YOLO Is The Motto

Drake & lil Wayne at it again! With a touch of Tyga too!
After the highly anticipated wait, their newest collab track since C4 & Take Care has been released called 'The Motto' if you haven't heard it yet, dont miss out...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0fAEN6vYEZ0
A real example of Tunechi's success sits right in this song, his verse shows exactly how he can spit anything, in any structure in any style and still make it work!
Look at it, the speed is inconsistent just like in the line structure and there's a massive lack of rhymes as well... but still it flows! Drake goes in as always, the songs hits it peak with his line "25 sitting on 25 mil" Jheeze!
Take a look guys!

Boyce Avenue Do Nothing But Beautiful Music

I've been talking a lot about Hip Hop and Grime on here, but I do love all music and particularly acoustic music. For me you dont get any better than Boyce Avenue in this field and I truly believe that. Boyce Avenue are a band made up of 3 brothers, they stared of by just posting videos on YouTube  and now 5 years later they are touring all over the world! In terms of music this guys classically takes songs that we all know and love and turn them from a commercial hit into a piece of beautiful music. For example, follow the link below to hear their cover of 'Teenage Dream' By Katy Perry and only then will you now what I mean...

I thought this would be the perfect time to share such an artist with you guys so you can enjoy Boyce Avenue all over christmas with your family and friends.

T.K The Problem!

For those who don't know who T.K is, do me a favour and follow this link
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMo4MfmjXSQ
Now what you sayin?! You'll know I am big on real music, and that their is peak! This guy to me sounds a little like another big artist called Mic Righteous but TK spits with a calmer attitude, which for me makes the lyrics hit even harder, the words paint a bigger picture here. But don't get it twisted TK still can go hard! There's some seriously Grimey tracks on his Mixtape 'The Problem' which you can download for yourself at
http://www.tkofficial.com
For me the leading track on the Mixtape is 'Snaking You' a track all about something which any Real man or woman goes through know doubt. Hit deep for me, the slow and angelic instrumental plays a complete contrast on TK raw accent and lyrics! Listen to it now and spread the word...
