I've been talking a lot about Hip Hop and Grime on here, but I do love all music and particularly acoustic music. For me you dont get any better than Boyce Avenue in this field and I truly believe that. Boyce Avenue are a band made up of 3 brothers, they stared of by just posting videos on YouTube and now 5 years later they are touring all over the world! In terms of music this guys classically takes songs that we all know and love and turn them from a commercial hit into a piece of beautiful music. For example, follow the link below to hear their cover of 'Teenage Dream' By Katy Perry and only then will you now what I mean...

I thought this would be the perfect time to share such an artist with you guys so you can enjoy Boyce Avenue all over christmas with your family and friends.

T.K The Problem!
For those who don't know who T.K is, do me a favour and follow this link
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMo4MfmjXSQ
Now what you sayin?! You'll know I am big on real music, and that their is peak! This guy to me sounds a little like another big artist called Mic Righteous but TK spits with a calmer attitude, which for me makes the lyrics hit even harder, the words paint a bigger picture here. But don't get it twisted TK still can go hard! There's some seriously Grimey tracks on his Mixtape 'The Problem' which you can download for yourself at
http://www.tkofficial.com
For me the leading track on the Mixtape is 'Snaking You' a track all about something which any Real man or woman goes through know doubt. Hit deep for me, the slow and angelic instrumental plays a complete contrast on TK raw accent and lyrics! Listen to it now and spread the word...

Tinies Not So Happy Birthday
Tinie recently released his newest mix tape called 'Happy Birthday' which if you haven't heard, you can download here
http://www.djbooth.net/index/mixtapes/entry/tinie-tempah-happy-birthday
As I've talked about in a previous article, Tinie is known for his epic house anthems with relatively simple but slick flowing lyrics on top of them, making the kind of tracks that have made him who he is today. However we cant forget where he came from, his grime roots. Back then he was known as a hard MC and since breaking through as an artist it's evident that he now wants to delve back into that once rife area of music for him. And so Happy Birthday was released. Now don't get me wrong, there are some sick tracks on there for example one being 'Like it or Love it' with features from the likes of Wretch 32 and America Superstar J Cole. But for the most of it, the songs just dont click for me. I think the problem is that because we exposed to so many sick lyricist now in grime like Skepta, Dizze, G Frsh, D Double E, P Money and many many more these people are Grime Artist and thats how they spit. Tinie to me is no longer a Grime artist, he's a house artist and there's nothing wrong with that, just that is what he has evolved into. He's ended up in a different place than where he started, and it's worked for him. So in my eyes, I'd tell him to keep doing his thing which is releasing club bangers!
