KANO Still On His P's & Q's

For all those who are on the Grime wave, you are going to know who Kano is. In my eyes there or two renovators of grime that have played a massive part in getting it to the position it is in today and who have stuck by it. One being Kano. The other being Skepta. Kano who made his name particularly with the track P's & Q's released back in 2005 as a 12" vinyl only...

In the same year he released a mixtape called 'Beats & Bars' with songs on it which could be released today and still rival any tracks in the charts. Instrumentals with drops and dubstep which people didn't even know of back then. Download it here if you haven't already

In my eyes this is singly one of the greatest songs to ever come out of the Grime scene. Up there with the likes of 'Woo Riddim' - Solo 45 & 'Mike Lowery' - Skepta. I mean some may say that Kano peaked to early but to me that's bullshit. I mean undeniably his biggest selling tracks was his first official 'Typical Me' released also around the same time, but I can guarantee you could ask any person who really listens to Grime and they could name at least 5 tracks big tracks from Kano of the cuff. Fact!
So I'm going to leave you with the link to 'Typical Me' which is up in my top 20 tracks of all time, so kick back and get Grimey

Tyga's in the City

I'm not going to lie, when I first her this about a week ago now I really wasn't feeling it. Which is why I didn't blog about it sooner, so if you where thinking the same when you first heard heard it i urge you to play it again, leave it on repeat and come back to me...

The instrumental is something I could imagine lil Wayne on, real long base like A Milli. This is far from any of Tyga's lyrical work on Well Done Mixtapes 1 & 2 but it is an old school hip hop tune. I've been watching Tyga for a long time now and to me he is very much on par with Wiz Khalifa, with a very similar flow and spits on pritty similar instrumentals. The only difference is, Wiz has released an album where as Tyga hasn't yet, well not under full YMCMB over look and promotion. His album is due to drop this year which will be a real divining moment in he career and I really hope he doesn't flop because undeniably he is sick.
